Finland to send two military observers to Georgia -FM

Further five to 10 Finnish observers would be sent to Georgia in the next phase. Earlier on Tuesday, Georgia and Russia approved the deployment of 20 OSCE observers.

Alexander Stubb (cons), the Finnish foreign minister, told the Finnish News Agency (STT) on Tuesday that Finland would send two unarmed military observers to Georgia by the end of the week.

Mr Stubb, the current chairman-in-office of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), added the observers could probably fly to Tbilisi with him on Thursday.

He said a further five to 10 Finnish observers would be sent to Georgia in the next phase.

Earlier on Tuesday, Georgia and Russia approved the deployment of 20 OSCE observers.
