AMSI Condemns Assassinations

AMSI condemned the assassination of Sheikh Louai Saad Eddin Othman and assassination attempt of Sheikh Khamis al Halbousi

HEYET Net - The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemned the assassination of Sheikh Louai Saad Eddin Othman, which comes in the context of the risks to the Nineveh governorate of campaigns led by the organization of views aimed at draining the community suspicious of influential men.

  

A statement published by AMSI Media Department following the assassination of Sheikh by unknown armed men on Sunday, 17 August 2008 who was imam and preacher at al Ziouani Mosque in Ninawa Governorate.

  
It is noteworthy that the Ninawa Governorate witnessed in the past several months the case of assassination which affected many of the ulama and professors who are the professionals in their areas.    

AMSI prayed Allah Almighty to rest in peace the martyr Sheikh, to inspire people and who loves him, and to spare the Iraqi people from sedition and tribulations which is seen and covered. Indeed He is the capable of doing everything.    


At the same time at dawn on yesterday, Friday, 15 August 2008 Sheikh Khamis Jassim Alhalbosi was subjected in front of al Kabeer Mosque in al Karamah area to the assassination attempt resulted in the severe injury of his jaw.


The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) condemned the assassination attempt and held the occupation for targeting the imams and preachers across Iraq.
