Faidi: Resistance Returned to Overrun

The official spokesperson of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) Sheikh al Faidi told that the resistance returned to overrun and include other areas of the south Iraq

HEYET Net Damascus Office – AMSI concluded its fifth general assembly under the slogan of “Fiver Years of Ata and Ribat: Caring and Observation” which is held every two years with a press conference in the capital city of Syria, Damascus.

Sheikh al Faydi read out the final statement of the assembly and reached the most important decisions of the assembly before allowing for journalists to ask questions...

He said that the resistance is option for the guarantor to end of the occupation and this resistance will not stop or decrease. When it subsided in Anbar City as a result of projects of so-called Awakening Councils that are pro-American, the Resistance returned to override like Mosul and Diyala, and other parts of Iraq, rather it moved to other places not expected by the occupation, the resistance reached to southern Iraq.

The AMSI spokesperson said the numbers of Arab countries today are supporting a number of forces opposed to the occupation and others. According to Sheikh Faydi this will follow through these same countries after the change of the current administration saying: “the Arabs are coming to the Iraqi issue as soon as alter the current administration…

He added that the occupation rejects the project of AMSI, and so does AMSI as not accepting the occupation projects. The political forces benefiting from the status quo is the other parts that are rejecting the projects of AMSI. Sheikh al Faidi stressed that the rejection of these forces for these projects will not change anything on the ground; because this force and this government has reached the resentment by the people's zenith, after robbing them of billions of dollars in annual state budget.

The spokesman of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) clarified that this government is dying to live the last moments, and that the occupation forces providing reasons for life in spite of the great discontent in the interest of occupiers. Sheikh al Faydi warned the government that once the fall of the current administration, the government will directly pronounce its dead itself...

Meanwhile official spokesperson of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) Sheikh Dr. Bashar al Faidi denied that none of AMSI officials will meet with the son of the president of United Iraqi Front in the current Iraqi Parliament who will reach to Syria tomorrow stressing that Ammar al Hakeem belongs to the Supreme Council and he is a convicted person having involved in many things published with the evidences by the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI).

On a question about whether there is intention of the AMSI to build a comprehensive national project, rejecting the occupation, especially after the heavy presence of strong anti-occupation organizations in this conference and the possibility of annexation under the name of one tent, and under one umbrella, Sheikh al Faidi said “ The words painted the features of the draft to save Iraq, to liberate Iraq and not accepting the presence of the occupation and survival of the unity of Iraq in addition to a new thing that everyone agreed on the need to have a professional army which has to be non-sectarian, has no political or partisan. Rather this army should just be loyalty to the security tasks assigned to him. This is no secret to say that AMSI and other national movements have a comprehensive and political project to save Iraq. The time will come to articulate it, and yesterday meeting with these forces is the first step on this road.

Muhammad Bashar al Faidi pointed out that AMSI is not worried about the separation of the Kurds and understanding despite the ongoing political process. They have not been separated, how the politicians and secession advocates would have gone to whom not Kurdish people do not trust. AMSI spokesman noted that the AMSI has questionnaires from the northern areas inhabited by people of our Kurdish people indicating that more than eighty percent of the sons of the Kurdish people are dissatisfied with the bipartisan of main Kurdish parties, and more than sixty percent of the Northern Iraq are refusing federal government and the Iraqi people are enthusiastic in the south to reject the federal enthusiasm over the North, who live in the center position known in their rejection of partition. For this reason when we call the unity of Iraq, we do not cry losing in the valleys. In contrast it has roots among the Iraqis.

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) reflects the conscience of the Iraqi people. Therefore the majority of the Iraqi people supports and endorses. The only obstacle in this way is the existence of the occupation and others working with him, and with the demise of these people Iraqis will find the way of unity.

On the Security Agreement to be signed with U.S. occupation forces Sheikh Bashar al Faydi said that whether the government signs the convention or not, the national forces opposed to the occupation registered its position in rejecting any agreements in whatever form is like political, military, economical or cultural, current or future with the occupation. This will damage Iraq's sovereignty, security and wealth. This principle can not deviate from the strong rejection of the occupation. If the current government wants to sell the occupation this sale is void because it does not represent the reality. The fate of these conventions during the liberation of Iraq would be at trash.

Sheikh Muhammad al Faidi ended the press conference recalling the word of tribal sheikh from South Iraq at the opening session of the assembly when he said “I smell the odor of the revolution, because the Association of the Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) and the forces opposed to the occupation shares the Sheikhs of South Iraqi Clans as people.” Sheikh Faidi evaluated this as we are on the verge of revolution against the occupation and against the agents of the occupier. And the days are coming and will honor AMSI for exploring the wider circle of the resistance to the occupation, its agents and to resist against their projects, recalling that of course there will be easiness after hardness…
