Return of Bloody Sectarian Militias

The bloody sectarian militias return to the streets of Baghdad where they carried out kidnapping, killing and displacement of many innocent families again.

HEYET Net - NDHF Net

Thursday, 24 July 2008 23:06

HEYET Net Special - A group of sectarian militias started to kill, kidnap and displace many families in al Wahdah area belong to al Madain. Death squads have burned many houses in the area located in al Wahdah specifically near al Abqar al Kubra station. Then they dislodge the families in addition to the kidnapping of some citizens.

The residents of the neighborhood added that special group led by Jassem Hammadi al Saidi started to kill many citizens living in al Wahdah area after the burning of houses in addition to killing some residents in the area of al Hamidah near to the region such as murdering Ahmad Khalil Didan, Hamid Aboud, Numan Abd, Hamid Ali and kidnapped citizen Hussein Ali Ahmed Maiyov.

Witnesses from the area said that the latest attempted of kidnapping was near to the Statistics Department on al Wahdah where named Jassem Hammadi al Saidi and his group attempted to hijack two women from displaced families. So they have reviewed the Statistics Department for the purpose of renewal of the identity of the civil status of men so that they could not have ability to access this service and other government departments for the interest of the existence of militia elements.

The witnesses added that without the intervention of the honourable people of the area and secure way back for women the sectarian militias would have killed them. Attempt of kidnapping incident of displaced women are not the first one. The relatives of woman stated that when a woman went to revise the nationality in Statistics Department they were surprised of the presence of called Shannu person. This person was cursing and using ugly terms threatened to kill him in front of people saying this is warn of coming here and that is in our hands. If there was not the intervention of some benevolent, they would murder her.

It should be noted that this person called Shannu is a member of the Municipal Council in al Wahdah as well as the elected person of the area. Many elements of his group are working in the government police!

The residents of the area demanded to investigate these incidents asking for so-called “the plan for the imposition of the law; where are these criminals”. It is noteworthy that many elements from the militias are the member of the police as well from them Aqeel Jassim and Hatham Shannu Jasim and Yousif Shaalan who are working in security apparatus. The criminal incidents by these groups are carried out in front of the people without any actions of the government troops heavily deployed there.

It is not strange for any Iraqi people or readers to surprise when they see deep relations between the puppet government forces or sectarian militias altogether destroying the unity of Iraq in collaboration with the occupation.

First of all, the people need safety, not security. In direct opposition the security forces provide the gorilla services for the illegal occupation murderers, basically being the insecurity forces on the ground.
