Sisaret ja Veljet, Brothers and Sisters
On 4th of June, Suomen Puolustusvoimat, the Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) celebrate their traditional, beloved War Flag Fest so to honor, as well as to provide our forces to the most critical inspection of the Finnish War Veterans, thus still serving Finland by partaking into this task.
The 27th Finnish U.N.J.B. congratulates the both the Finnish Veterans and the Finnish Defence Forces for their splendid effort in guaranteeing that nothing threatens Finland, symbolized and concretized in the Holy Flag of Finland.
As known by all of our people, the strong institution of the Presidency of Independent Finland was fought and won by holy blood and sacrifices of our people by Jääkärit, the Jaegers, later known as the Unknown Soldiers in four successive successful wars, 1918, 1939-40, 1941-44 and 1944.
As a token of their victories, the Cross of the Liberation, the symbol of the Finnish Warriors, recurring in the Mannerheim Cross of the WWII, when added to the War Flag of the Finnish Defence Forces symbolizes the ultimate prize, a strong President in a democratic State that preserves its religious tradition in the legislation, and is capable to defend the homeland against any aggressors.

That brings us to a recent book of Mr Paavo Lipponen, the former PM who suggests that
"President's foreign policy powers should be reduced further, including a change of constitution so that the government, not the president, would lead the foreign policy, thus turning the institution into a ceremonial one.
As directly related, we would like to quote Mr Lipponen, this time saying in the Image magazine:
"As If one does not know the history of one's own nation, (s)he stands above nothing. Then one can only follow others and gain credibility and self-respect by that method."
We, the 27th U.N.J.B. question Mr Lipponen does he not understand the history of Finland to such extent that it is prohibited (in Arabic, fatwa) to remove the Cross of the Liberation from the War Flag, marking the President’s foreign policy powers?
Nobody privatizes what was fought and won by the Lions of Finland and their Beloved Ones by their own blood and lives, less dear to them than Fatherland, Home, Religion and Freedom.
Or does Mr Lipponen suggest that Finland, perhaps also removes the Cross of the Liberation from the Mannerheim Crosses of Liberation earned by the well-known unknown soldiers in the Second World War (WW II) as well?
And what does Mr Lipponen anticipate the Finnish 1st Guards Regiment to guard around the Presidential palace, if the President is removed?
Are the Finns to remove the 1st Guards Regiment, the personal Guards unit of the President from Helsinki, Finland as well?
The official instructions of Finland concerning any such attempt that are very specific and impossible to misinterpret:
“In an all-out confrontation between the two major blocs, Finnish objective would have been to prevent any military incursions inside the borders and, in this way, to keep Finland outside the war.
In all cases, the national objective is to keep the vital areas, especially the capital [Helsinki] area in Finnish possession. In other areas, the size of the country is used to delay and wear down the invader, until the enemy may be defeated in an area of Finnish choosing.
The Army carries most of the responsibility for this task.”
The 27th U.N.J.B. do not anticipate any changes in the Flag of the President of the Independent Finland.
Liberation’s Cross is and stands there forever to signal the Finnish People that everything is exactly as it should be.
Consequently, we do not foresee anyone touching the President’s foreign power rights either.
“We, the Jaegers, we preserved the Faith”
From our Hearts, filled with Love,
